Application Security Engineer

Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site

We are seeking to hire an experienced Application Security Engineer on behalf of our Dublin-based client. You will hold the responsibilities of assessing and mitigating security risks, working with internal development teams to enhance application security posture and conducting security code reviews.

Application Security Engineer Duties:

• Conducting security assessments of applications to identify vulnerabilities and security risks
• Performing manual code reviews and dynamic application testing
• Identifying vulnerabilities and developing & implementing vulnerability management processes
• Helping to design and implement software architectures
• Security code reviews
• Work with incident response teams to investigate and analyse security incidents

Requirements:

• Strong experience with application security principles, vulnerabilities and secure coding practices
• Ability to perform security code reviews and manual penetration testing
• Experience with application security assessment tools
• Understanding of cloud security concepts of technologies (AWS or Azure)
• Familiarity with programming languages
