Reperio are working with a major fintech company who have major expansion plans for their Data team in Ireland in 2025. As part of these plans, they are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to be the driving force behind the design, development, and optimization of our data systems. You'll lead a team of engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure that their data architecture supports the company's analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives. This is a strategic role that combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. You will report directly to the Head of Data.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of ETL tools and data workflow orchestration platforms (e.g. Apache Airflow, Prefect).
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with designing data architectures and workflows.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
