Reperio are working with a major software company who are looking to build out their Data team in Ireland. As part of these plans, they are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to take charge of designing and building scalable, high-performance data platforms that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence. You will lead a team of data engineers, collaborating closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions that drive decision-making across the organization. This role will also involve playing a hands-on role in designing and implementing data warehouses, lakes and ETL processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Hands-on experience with Big Data tools like Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
- Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL), data modelling, and schema design
- Expertise in Azure cloud platforms and cloud-native data services
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git
