Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is searching for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Dublin. This role will involve managing and supporting the company's core IT infrastructure, contributing to project delivery, and ensuring the reliability and security of systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain server environments, including Windows Server and Linux systems
• Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Support cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure
• Implement and manage networking solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and switches
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide Level 3 support
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades and migrations
• Ensure adherence to IT security standards and best practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, virtualization, and Azure
• Solid understanding of networking protocols and devices (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VLANs)
• Experience with Linux systems is a plus
• Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or VMware Certified Professional, are highly desirable
