Senior Quality Tester

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement detailed test strategies to ensure complete coverage of retail workflows, customer experiences, and backend operations.
• Create and execute test cases, track progress, log defects in JIRA, and collaborate with developers to address issues.
• Validate essential functionalities such as POS transactions, payment processing, inventory management, pricing, promotions, loyalty programs, and self-checkout systems.
• Confirm smooth integration between retail applications, ERP systems, third-party payment systems, and supply chain platforms.
• Oversee test case creation, execution, and reporting within Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and retail operations teams to ensure testing aligns with business objectives.
• Guide and mentor junior testers, enhancing testing methodologies and promoting automation where applicable.
• Provide comprehensive test reports, track defect trends, assess risks, and offer suggestions for process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience testing retail systems (e.g., POS, e-commerce, inventory management, CRM, and supply chain platforms).
• Expertise in functional, regression, exploratory, UAT, and integration testing for retail applications.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and best practices in testing.
• Proficiency in using Azure DevOps and JIRA for test management and defect tracking.
• Experience testing payment systems, multi-channel retail platforms, promotions, and order management solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
• ISTQB certification (or equivalent)
• Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
