Staff Systems Engineer

Hybrid (1-2 days per week onsite)

Reperio has partnered with a world leader in the cloud-based AI Platforms space who are looking for a Staff Systems Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Build internal tools using Python or Golang.
• Automate systems with Puppet and Ansible.
• Manage critical services like DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
• Maintain large-scale hybrid cloud infrastructure (bare metal + VMs).
• Use "infrastructure as code" practices.
• Write and automate test plans for infrastructure.
• Create workflows in ServiceNow.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies.
• Lead VM migration projects (e.g., VMware to OpenStack).

Requirements:

• Experience applying AI to workflows or decision-making.
• Strong background in managing Linux servers at scale.
• Expertise with OpenStack, especially RedHat version.
• Proven skills in VM migration and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang for automation.
• Deep knowledge of core systems services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, networking).
• Ability to write clear architecture documentation.
• Collaborative coding skills, including testing and debugging.
• Familiarity with open-source DevOps tools.
• Strong problem-solving and system-level troubleshooting skills.
