.NET Software Engineer

Hybrid - 1-2 Days Onsite

An established product-focused tech company based in Sligo is growing their internal development team and currently hiring a .NET Software Engineer. This role focuses on building modern web-based systems using .NET and Azure technologies and offers the chance to work across the full software lifecycle, with plenty of technical ownership and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET services and APIs
• Contribute to the migration and modernisation of legacy systems into .NET 6-8
• Take part in architecture planning and technical reviews
• Integrate external APIs and manage secure data flows
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests using best practices (TDD encouraged)
• Work with DevOps to maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and front-end developers in a cross-functional Agile team
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across services
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Tech Stack:

• Languages: C#, .NET 6/7/8, T-SQL, TypeScript (light exposure)
• Backend: ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core, LINQ
• Frontend (light use): Angular (v12+), TypeScript, HTML, SCSS
• Cloud & DevOps:
  • Microsoft Azure - App Services, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, SQL, Key Vault
  • Azure DevOps Pipelines, Git, Docker
• Monitoring & Performance: Application Insights, Log Analytics
• Security: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Azure B2C
• Docs & Collaboration: Swagger/OpenAPI, Confluence, PlantUML (desirable)
