Lead DevSecOps Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a consultancy client seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to establish and grow their DevSecOps capability. This role will play a key part in shaping processes, tooling, and best practices, while working closely with delivery teams to embed security and automation across the development lifecycle.

North Dublin

6-month rolling contract

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and rollout of the DevSecOps function across teams and projects
• Define standards, workflows, and governance for secure software delivery
• Work closely with engineering, security, and delivery teams to drive adoption
• Champion automation, continuous improvement, and secure-by-design practices
• Act as a senior point of contact for DevSecOps-related initiatives and decisions

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior or lead DevSecOps role
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, pipelines, and delivery workflows
• Solid experience using Jira to manage delivery, workflows, and reporting
• Background in implementing DevSecOps practices within enterprise or consultancy environments
• Strong understanding of security principles across the software development lifecycle
• Experience influencing teams and stakeholders without direct authority
