Azure Infrastructure Engineer

A technology-driven organisation operating high-availability, business-critical systems is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure team supporting both software engineering and production application support functions.

The Role

You will work in a collaborative infrastructure team delivering and supporting Azure-based platforms. The role is a mix of project delivery and production support, operating within a structured, ticket-driven environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, deploying, and supporting Azure IaaS and PaaS environments

• Supporting multi-tier web applications (Web/App/Database)

• Investigating, diagnosing, and resolving production issues

• Working closely with development and support teams in an Agile environment

• Participating in daily team stand-ups and contributing to technical decision-making

• On-call participation following successful probation (rotating roster, allowance provided)

Required Experience

• 3-5 years' experience as an Azure Infrastructure Engineer

• Strong experience with Azure IaaS, including migrations from on-prem to Azure

• Hands-on experience with PaaS services, such as AKS

• Proven experience supporting production Azure environments

• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and operational metrics experience

• Solid PowerShell skills with a clear understanding of scripting logic (not copy/paste usage)

Key Attributes

• Able to clearly explain technical decisions, design choices, and implementation logic

• Comfortable discussing real-world production issues and how they were resolved

• Collaborative team player with strong communication skills

On-Call

• Participation in a rotating on-call roster (nights and weekends) after probation

• On-call allowance and time off in lieu provided
