Machine Learning Engineer

Contract: 12 Months Initially
Location: South East Ireland (Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite, 3 days per week remote working)

I'm currently recruiting for a Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of data science solutions, machine learning models, and IT-based analytics platforms. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who can independently drive projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

• Lead development of data science, ML models, and IT solutions
• Apply testing frameworks, processes, and automation to deliver high-quality software
• Collaborate on and drive data-informed product strategies
• Improve data quality, system performance, reliability, and scale
• Influence and lead data modeling, development methodologies, and DevSecOps/DataOps practices
• Stay current with technology trends and drive innovation
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and security best practices
• Participate in data modeling, analysis, testing, and approve medium feature designs
• Write data mapping and metadata specifications

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in Python and R
• Experience with data science platforms, Linux, containerized environments, and AWS
• Knowledge of AI/GenAI development patterns (e.g., RAG)
