Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Galway (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)
Salary: €70,000 - €85,000 (DOE)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

A well-established, international technology company is seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer to join its growing engineering team based in Galway. The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to technical decisions, and help mentor less experienced developers.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using .NET / C#
Build and enhance user-facing applications using modern frontend frameworks
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Participate in code reviews and promote best engineering practices
Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other stakeholders
Support and mentor junior and mid-level engineers

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong expertise in .NET / C#
Experience with Angular (preferred) or other modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Vue)
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web application architecture
Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience working on large-scale or enterprise systems
