Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Carlow
Contract: 9-12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
A global technology organisation operating in the proactive security sector is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its R&D team on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract.
This is an opportunity to work within a fast-paced Agile environment delivering innovative, AI-driven software solutions to international users.
Onsite Requirement:
4-5 days per week onsite during the first 2 months (onboarding period), reducing to 1-2 days per week thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
Perform manual and automated testing of new and existing features
Develop and maintain automated test suites (e.g. Selenium, Playwright)
Support testing across unit, integration, system, and regression phases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria
Ensure sprint deliverables meet quality standards
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
2+ years' experience in a QA or similar role
Strong understanding of testing methodologies
Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright)
Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP)
Strong communication and organisational skills
