DevOps Engineer

Our client is a fast-growing, purpose-driven SaaS company operating in the regulated life sciences sector. They are expanding their engineering team and seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to help maintain and evolve their cloud infrastructure.

The Role

You'll work closely with software development and QA teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. You'll own CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and contribute to a strong culture of operational excellence and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI/CD)
  • Manage and optimise AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda)
  • Write automation and IaC code using Terraform, Python, and Bash
  • Manage containerised workloads via Kubernetes
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
  • Implement cloud security best practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role
  • Strong AWS experience across core services
  • Hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Pulumi)
  • Proficient in Python and Bash scripting
  • CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Snowflake or Apache Airflow
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipeline architectures
  • Background in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, pharma, finance)

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
