IT Support Engineer - Galway

Our client eagerly seeks an experienced IT Support Engineer on a contract basis, valuing both technical prowess and strong communication skills to maintain seamless ICT operations.


  • Respond to and resolve user-reported issues with hardware, software, and network systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, escalating as necessary.
  • Manage and prioritise help desk tickets. Provide timely and effective communication to end-users regarding the status of their support request.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals. Perform routine maintenance on hardware systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Create and update knowledge base articles.


  • Over 2 years of demonstrated expertise as an IT Support Engineer or in a comparable technical support position.
  • Adept at diagnosing and effectively resolving technical challenges associated with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Knowledgeable in Active Directory, Powershell, Office 365, Intune, VMWare and experience with a cloud platform such as Azure or AWS.
  • Possession of pertinent certifications is strongly advantageous.
