IT Firewall Engineer

We are seeking to hire a Firewall Engineer to join our client, a well-renowned firm In the Machinery Manufacturing space. They specialise in safety engineering services and solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of IT Infrastructure and IT security in the network area.

This role is based in Cork and will be hybrid (2 days per week). 

Duties:

• Installing, configuring and administrating the global network landscape
• Implementing global infrastructure concepts
• Maintaining network and security infrastructure components and support in ensuring IT security
• Handling 2nd and 3rd level support for the Infrastructure
• Contributing to further development, selection and implementation of new systems and technologies

Requirements:

• 3rd level degree or relevant Computer Science qualification
• 5+ years' experience in a relevant area of IT
• Strong knowledge of network administration - LAN, WLAN, Routers, Switches and Firewalls
• Experience with Fortinet network technologies and components
• Experience in administration of VMware is highly desirable
