The Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, said that Ireland is well on its way to becoming the tech capital of Europe. Ireland is currently the number one destination in the world for foreign direct investment by US technology companies and home to nearly all the largest multinational tech companies. For example, it hosts nine of the top ten global software companies and US technology companies, the top three enterprise software companies in the world and four of the top five IT service companies.

The advice of 94% of the 500 hiring managers surveyed by Accounting Principals is that job-seekers should keep up their search right through to the end of the year. In fact, if you wait until January, you will face one of the toughest and most competitive months of the year.
In 2018, the world experienced several large-scale data breaches including Mariott Hotels having their guest information copied and stolen, affecting 500 million people and Google+ exposing the personal profile data of 52.5 million users. With the introduction of GDPR in May, 2019 will see more severe consequences for companies who do not handle their data in the appropriate manner.
