Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst | Dublin | Hybrid | Permanent

Hiring on behalf of a client seeking a Senior Business Insights Analyst to lead the design and delivery of complex analytics use cases and act as a senior technical authority within the Business Insights team.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex and ambiguous analytical initiatives from problem definition through to actionable recommendations
• Take ownership of specific analytics domains, acting as primary analytical lead from problem framing through to delivery and optimisation
• Lead the design of analytical solution approaches, selecting and combining appropriate data, analytics, and data science techniques
• Present complex analyses in clear, compelling narratives for executive and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to defining and evolving analytics standards, reusable patterns, and best practices across the organisation
• Mentor, coach, and provide technical oversight to Business Insights Analysts
• Work closely with Data Science and Solutions teams to ensure scalability, automation, and productionisation of solutions
• Critically assess tools, platforms, and techniques, contributing to recommendations that shape analytics capabilities
• Support communities of practice and provide technical guidance and peer review across business units

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in Data Analytics in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric - lakehouses, pipelines, and semantic models
• Strong T-SQL/SQL skills and Python experience for advanced analytics
• Proficiency in Power BI for interactive reporting and data storytelling
• Familiarity with core data science techniques - regression, classification, clustering, and forecasting
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills including senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Experience with Agile, CRISP-DM, Kanban, or equivalent project management frameworks
• Honours degree in a relevant discipline

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring junior Data Analysts
• Background working within a Hub & Spoke analytics operating model
