I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer, based in Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract, focusing on hybrid working. Strong day rate available.
About the Role
- Join a leading organisation as a Senior Data Engineer, building and optimising scalable batch and streaming data pipelines and modern Lakehouse architectures.
- Work closely with analytics and engineering teams to deliver trusted datasets while contributing to data platform architecture, governance, quality and security.
- Mentor engineers and help drive best practices across testing, monitoring, performance optimisation, CI/CD and documentation.
Requirements
- Previous enterprise data engineering experience, with strong experience building cloud-based data platforms and data pipelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse or Azure Databricks, SQL and Python.
- Previous experience with Lakehouse/Data Warehouse architecture, ELT, Medallion Architecture, CI/CD and modern data engineering practices.
Desirable
- Experience with real-time/streaming data, data governance, lineage or data quality frameworks.
- Microsoft certifications such as DP-700, DP-600 or DP-203.
