Microsoft SharePoint Online Administrator
Dublin City Centre | Initial 6-Month Contract | Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
The Role
My Dublin based client is looking for an experienced Microsoft SharePoint Online Administrator to take ownership of the day-to-day administration, governance, security and optimisation of their SharePoint Online environment.
Working closely with IT and business stakeholders, you'll ensure the platform is secure, well-governed, compliant and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support the SharePoint Online environment.
  • Manage site provisioning and lifecycle, including ownership reviews, archiving and deletion.
  • Support Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels, retention and compliance controls.
  • Manage SharePoint permissions, access reviews and external/guest access via Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Support Microsoft Teams-connected SharePoint sites.
  • Develop and maintain information architecture, including site structures, metadata and navigation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint Online incidents and service issues.
  • Support records management, DLP, content governance and information protection.
  • Maintain SharePoint governance standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
  • Strong, hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online in an enterprise environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with SharePoint governance, security, permissions and lifecycle management.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Purview, including sensitivity labels, retention and compliance.
  • Knowledge of DLP, records management and information governance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within regulated or governance-focused environments is advantageous.
  • Understanding of GDPR, NIS2 and Microsoft Zero Trust principles is desirable.
Availability from end of October 2026 is preferred.
