Dublin - Hybrid - Permanent

Our client is an established software company in South Dublin, building specialist platforms used by leading names across the insurance and financial services market.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog, keeping it visible and aligned with business goals.
• Turn stakeholder needs into epics, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Run backlog refinement and sprint planning, keeping priorities current.
• Work as an embedded partner to engineering teams, giving them the clarity to deliver.
• Balance new features against performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Identify practical ways to use AI within the platform.
• Report progress, risks and trade-offs to stakeholders using delivery data.

What We are Looking For

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, or owning a backlog, in an Agile software environment.
• Strong skills in writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineers to prioritise and clarify work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• A solid understanding of how software is built and how technical decisions affect the product.
• Experience with enterprise, workflow, or configurable software platforms.
• Exposure to AI-enabled features or AI tools in your day-to-day work.
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Experience in insurance, financial services or another regulated industry would be an advantage.
