We're working with a world-leading chip company to add an experienced contract circuit designer to its engineering centre. You'd take ownership of key analog blocks on the most advanced silicon processes available. The team values technical depth and keeps hierarchy light, so your input will shape how future products are built.

Key responsibilities

• Design analogue and mixed-signal circuits from early concept through to final delivery

• Develop a range of high-performance circuit blocks, including interface, timing and reference circuits
• Use simulation to verify designs and make sure they work reliably in all conditions
• Work closely with layout and other engineering teams to get the best performance from each design
• Support testing in the lab and help bring new chips to life

Skills and experience

• Several years of hands-on analogue/mixed-signal IC design experience at transistor level, ideally on high-speed circuits
• Experience designing a range of core analogue building blocks
• Confident using standard IC design and simulation tools
• Understanding of analogue layout and the steps needed to take a design to tape-out
• A degree in electronic engineering or a related field. A master's or PhD is welcome, but practical experience counts most
• A strong communicator and team player who enjoys tackling technical challenges
• Bonus: knowledge of signal integrity, or using scripting or automation to work more efficiently
