QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our client based in Athlone, who are in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Design, implement, and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Work closely with developers to understand code changes and perform code reviews.
• Utilize your expertise in Java development to contribute to the automation of test cases.
• Ideally, have experience with JavaScript and Jest to enhance testing capabilities.
• Document test cases, test results, and defects to facilitate communication and issue resolution.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, providing valuable input during sprint planning and retrospectives.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java development with a focus on test automation.
• Ideally, experience with JavaScript and Jest for frontend testing.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
