Junior IT Support Engineer

Are you a recent graduate or have a keen interest in IT support? Our client, based in Shannon, County Clare, is seeking an Entry Level IT Support Engineer to join their team. While prior experience in the financial industry is preferred, candidates with relevant qualifications or working experience in any industry are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 support, handling user-reported issues and resolving them promptly.
• Work on L1 tickets, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Receive training in various financial software to effectively support and use them.
• Assist with system installations, configurations, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with senior team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

Experience:

• A degree or relevant qualifications in IT or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Prior experience in the financial industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software and technologies.
• Knowledge of basic IT concepts and principles.
