I’ve been part of the Reperio team for just over a month, but it didn’t take long to see the energy and team spirit that runs through the company. When I heard that five of my colleagues were stepping up to the challenge of the Belfast City Marathon 2025 as a relay team, I was inspired and wanted to be there to cheer them on. They decided that they would make the miles count and would be running to raise £1,000 for the Northern Ireland Hospice.
The Reperio relay team was –
Leg 1 (4.1 miles): Daniel Brown
Leg 2 (7.4 miles): Peter Megarity
Leg 3 (4.2 miles): Seamus O’Rawe
Leg 4 (5.2 miles): Caroline Britton
Leg 5 (5.3 miles): Michael Finch
I went along to show my support and made my way to changeover point two, where I met Peter and Seamus as they handed over the baton. It was amazing to see how many people were taking part (6,500 full marathon runners and 2,750 relay teams), but the number of people who had turned up to celebrate their efforts. There were motivating signs and banners (my favourite was one that said ‘This is tough… But so are you’) and up the Boucher Road a full-scale music session was going on with the DJ giving encouragement and Haribo sweets to all the participants.
What stood out most was the number of participants running for a great cause. Like the Reperio team, many were pushing themselves through physical challenge to raise funds and awareness for countless charities. It was such an incredible display of community spirit and generosity. I think the saying goes, ‘Pain is temporary, but kudos will last until next May’?
A huge congratulations to our five runners, who finished in a combined time of 4 hours and 3 minutes, and have raised an amazing £1,912 for Northern Ireland Hospice! To mark the occasion and reward their hard work, the team met up afterwards for a well-earned celebratory pint - cheers all round for an achievement to be proud of.

When life limiting illness touches a family, Northern Ireland Hospice is there, providing specialist care for over 4,000 adults, children and babies every year.
We're so grateful to everyone who has donated for this amazing cause, we truly appreciate your generosity and support.
